About Rosies Family Day Care Services

The sixth of eleven children, I was born and raised in Cusco, Peru by my father (a Public Notary) and my mother (an Accountant) whom I believe are the most wonderful parents anyone could ever have. Family has always been a big part of my life, I had a big one, which I believe helped me grow a big heart in which I share with all those around me.

As a young lady, I attended a German Catholic boarding school and then a couple of colleges simultaneously in which I studied Law and Communications. Following in the footsteps of my father I decided to become a Public Notary.

In 1982 I married my husband Percy, and had two wonderful children. Life was good in Peru, but after much thought, we decided to come to America looking for a better future. Full of promise and sadness, we packed up one suitcase and left all our belongings and our dear family. Coming to this country was hard. We didn’t speak any English and faced many challenges day by day. Determined to make it, we kept on.

In 1990 I started a small family day care, with the help of a couple families whom I will never forget, that trusted me with the care of their beautiful children.

I love children, being with them is very rewarding. I see myself in every child. Through their eyes, I feel the same excitement and joy they feel as they discover the world around them. I laugh when they are happy and cry when they are sad. I guide them with love and teach them as I have with my own children. As they grow, each child becomes one of my own, one who I make new memories with, one who I’ll always remember and one who my family embraces as part of our own.
